yes, it's a great step forward. note, however, that Mandrake and SUSE beat 
them to this goal a few revs ago. Debian even longer. this is more catch up 
than anything.

some OSes are smart enough to only have one SMTP package at a time. =)

again, this is a catch play for Red Hat. the other RPM distros solved it some
