Hi Cory, Thanks for the feedback. The Pro 4000 is a little more than I want to spend on a toy, but I think I'll pick up the QuickCam Express from Memory Express ($49.95) and give it a go with SuSE 9.0 Pro.
Just out of curiosity, what flavour of linux are you using with the cam? Did the O/S pick up the cam straight away or did you need to dowload and install a driver? There are some useful features that do work great: • Graphical user interface [written in Qt] • Change image size, brightness, contrast, etc. on the fly. • Save images in a variety of formats. • Include a timestamp in the image and/or the saved filename. • Uploading images to a server with FTP. • Take regular snapshots, or any moment you decide. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca
