I'm using SuSE 9.0.

Nope, the Logitech cameras aren't "suppose" to work on Linux. A multi-step  
but easy process is involved in setting up the camera. The biggest issue is 
getting the OS to recognize when the USB device has been plugged in, 
installing the driver and software was really easy (and well documented).

This type of camera does not work with Gnomemeeting as Jesse mentioned, 
although I wish it did.

I use if for taking still pictures and uploading them to a web server via FTP 
as a pseudo webcam, it does not do streaming, nor audio (even though the 
camera has a built-in mic).
