We talked about this before on this list. The idea is to have LUG members in Alberta join their high speed home Internet connections together to host BitTorrent downloads. The problem was how to make the home systems reconnect and continue to serve BitTorrent connections automatically after they reboot or change IP address.

Here is the solution http://www.silicontao.com/software/BitTorrentServer/doc/information.html

I am looking for about 20 people to help me to server the FLOSS-CD http://floss.silicontao.com/ ISO image using BitTorrent. If you can help that would be great.

Are there other ISO's that the CLUG and ELUG would want to be served by this array of BitTorrent servers?

The LLUG primary BitTorrentServer is up and running and hosting the 0.30 beta ISO of the FLOSS-CD.
A few more small additions will be made to the FLOSS-CD before version 1.0 but you and try this one if you like. http://142.179.175.121/floss-cd_0.30-20040707.iso.torrent
