I agree with you to some degree Rob. If the newbie site is intended as a tutorial, then yes, it's now well laid out. However, it's intended as a resource - a sublte difference.
Most newbies (myself included) have a specific challenge when they are looking for help (i.e. configuring virtual hosting on Apache). So, they end up looking for resources/information specific to this task. A tutorial layout does not work well here - we would need a tutorial for every conceivable topic, then navigating to the right point can become problematic. However a reference library is better suited for this type of research - you grab the section that deals with your particular issues. Even then, the newbie site CAN use some attention with regards to navigation and/or search. I believe the people responsible are aware of this and are working on it as time permits. My thoughts.... The nube site is intended for newbies. IMHO it's not very newbie friendly. -Rob. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca
