first off... THANK YOU. i've been providing my own local mirror for a while, 
and will likely continue to do so as i have the bandwidth and disk space for 
my own needs, but this is a great boon for those who don't in Calgary.

what would be awesome for you to mirror would be:

        ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update

as that would provide a local source for YOU (yast online updater) updates. i 
would understand if you were hesitant to mirror that as a public resource, 
however, since many SUSE installs check nightly for updates (as YOU makes it 
painlessly simple to do this via the "Automatic Update" button =)
