Another important point to consider is the abundant parking @ Boston Pizza which too is only walking distance away: a convenient place when planning those "after meeting meetings".
Good point, hard to say where we will meet for the 'after meeting meetings'. Regal Beagle has been good to us, Al has been awesome. I would prefer a non-smoking venue but that's just my personal preference. The beagle's wings are the best I've ever had. Maybe a change of scenery for this might be a good idea too. The thing to keep in mind is that there is nothing set in stone about this, it's the will of the masses.
There are several locations around the University that would be suitable for post-meeting meetings. Options include Kilkenny's, the Black Lounge (on-campus pub with the city's best nachos, IMHO), or Moxies at Market Mall.
Parking is the deal maker here for me. DeVry wins it hands down. We were told we can park any where, even in the staff parking spots, since we are coming in after hours. When you're lugging a bunch of equipment, you don't want to be hauling long distance ( car to room distance ) especially if you have to make more than one trip. U of C parking would be the worst. SAIT comes second.
As to the room accomodations, we won't be lacking in any respect. We were given unqualified support by the brass there, and they are totally behind us and our philosophy. Simply put, DeVry's got my vote.
We need to move on this as well, so waiting for SAIT to respond is getting tiresome, and approaching the UofC doesn't make sense.
