Your Executive Board met this evening and decided that a change was in order. We have decided to take DeVry up on its offer of meeting space at their campus. We looked at the feedback you sent and based our decision on that and what was on the table from DeVry. We feel this is a fair offer and will help us continue to grow. We realize that there will be an adjustment period as people get used to meeting at a new location. We will have details on the meeting posted to the CLUG website and sent out to the mailing list once we have everything firmed up with DeVry. I apologize to anyone who feels that this was a bad decision. We have accepted the fact that we may lose some members due to the change. We feel that there should be no undue hardship changing the physical location of our meetings from SAIT to DeVry and are hoping that we retain all of our current members and meeting attendees. If anything we feel DeVry is somewhat more accessible due to the proximity to Deerfoot Trail. For the record, if we find the arrangement with DeVry doesn't suit our needs we will pursue a different venue but we are confident that this arrangement will be long-lived and equally beneficial to both our organizations.
