I'm looking for a new distro, to try on my testing box. I tried Mandrake and found that it was overly simplified, and hid too many options far away from where I could see them. I'm looking for something between Mandrake and Gentoo in terms of ease-of-configuration and control. So far I've also tried Fedora/RedHat (last on FC1, which I didn't like), and Debian (which, I dunno, just seems kinda boring). I've heard good things about SuSE, so I might go over to Nexus and pick up a boxed set. I'm also thinking about trying a BSD (likely FreeBSD) or doing a Linux From Scratch.

Any suggestions?

Regards,

Andrew
