i'm believe i'm allowed to have opinions here, too. if there are other ideas, 
i'm totally open to them. this social-event-style idea wasn't even mine to 
begin with! the only way we'll get the best ideas that actually for the group 
is to discuss them.

if you had communicated that you were concerned about getting additional 
rooms, i would have replied that the social-event style probably lends itself 
to a single room format and that this was one of reasons this idea appealed 
so much to me when others suggested it as it removed the need for another 
room.

perhaps you have other concerns that are unique to the perspective of the 
Executive, but we'll never know unless you engage the group in dialog.

this is easy to fix then, because i'm not taking over anything.
