Which is why I ultimately let it through. However, this person was not subscribed to the list at the time (I don't know if he is now either). Typically in the past I have accepted or deleted these kinds of posts based somewhat on content. I have even gone so far as to suggest that if they truly want their message posted, to join the list. In the cases of Mike's picture and Kevin's PDF, the picture was interesting from a trivial/historical perspective and I thought the list could use a shot of humour again at the expense of bandwidth and people's inboxes. Kevin's PDF seemed like it was appropriate under the circumstances. I may have been wrong about that too. We have stated in the guidelines that links to files are a perfectly acceptable alternative to attachments. I apologized because I waffled on that, won't happen again. - -- Jarrod Major GPG Fingerprint: FA4A 1EA3 A0EE A842 07BB 804C 0090 14F6 BE6E DE3D CLUG President Registered Linux User: #224211 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iQCVAwUBQayZuwCQFPa+bt49AQL/5wP+MZcxSy3akrIcasrvbK2HaHoX0UY2R2vy gLVuaH6OqNbDfNa3ORX04K3hCVhq9z8GYm5MnZhj8nFsNJOyMr/ecCvbMYBEE7q2 FHHPmOQgHONhXIDACQ9J2raDUHLGB9kiGzouxoUOxfp8rrWKtyXOVExMR+Xgp25q /El0OqrY9nE= =fGo2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
