Kin do you have more then 1 phone hooked up to each box? How exactly does it work with your phone? I have seen the setup guids on line and I have been lead to believe that you hook up their supplied box to your router and then connect a phone to that box or get a router that also has ports for your phone. Can you fill us all in please.

Sorry, I should learn how to read. The Voip box (at least the one I have from Linksys / Cisco) has a RJ45 F port to connect to your IP Router. It also has two RJ11 F ports for phones -- each requiring a separate contract and phone number. This port can connect to your phone directly or you can connect all your phones through the breakout bar downstairs.

If you want to replace Telus, you will need to remove the incoming Telus lines and replace it with a line from the Voip box (otherwise you will have a conflict -- not good).

New thought -- though the RJ11 connector has 4 lines, only 2 are required for your phone. You could alternatively connect your two active wires on the Voip box to the two lines not being used. On the phone jacks, your phones will still all work on your Telus line, however you can get a two line phone as well where line 1 is Telus and line 2 is Voip. Alternatively, you can also get a splitter jack (be careful, there are two types, one that just gives you two jacks and ones that split line 1 to one jack and line 2 to the other -- you want the latter). If you do this you will be able to use two single line phones.

Caution -- if you are doing any of your own wiring, be careful, the lines are polarized. Hope this helps.
