if you are looking for something fancier than command line access, and
don't want to install anything on the remotely connecting machine, but
just use a browser, you can look into Webmin(http://www.webmin.com/).
It's basically server administration via web browser.

I would like to remote access a Linux box. I have seen a number of
people do it but not sure on what you are using. I am aware of VNC
but it does seem to lack security. I have heard of SSL but am unsure
of some of the pro's and con's of the various methods.
Would someone be able to enlighten me as to where I should be looking
for additional information.
