As a person who is definately NOT a programmer but has interests and some skills in the area I would deinately have to say that the people of the ProgSig made a huge mistake. I did want to but never did go to any ProgSig meetings but I sensed that I always would have felt welcome and unjudged. I felt like I did when joining the Linux community. That I was appreciated for the interest alone that I had and that even a psedou-newbie like me could contribute something even if it wasn't Linux expertise. I had the impression that the ProgSIg woud have been much the same.
Don't get me wrong...I wish you guys the best if you thats what you need to do, but you can definately count on me NOT joining your ranks. If I have to start layng out money for everything I have an interest in, than I better pick up and old frisge box now for nme Lisa & the pigs to live in. I hope CLUG will resurect the ProgSig in some form or fashion like the old one. I agree with Shawn that the name belong's to CLUG and that this splinter group should...if they choose to leave...find a new name. However...if they choose to reconsider and decided not to leave, I would definately welcome them back into the ranks. Like the prodigal son retuning home, everyone deserves a second..third...fourth chance. My 2 Peso's worth! _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
