I didn't even think about "samba gui" as a search term - I was searching on "samba user management", and finding most links referred to webmin, swat, or smbpasswd.... As for why are they still on Windows... They are slowly making the migration, but will not put this type of service into production until they can easily manage things (from a Windows perspective - not a lot of *nix skills), and/or give their customer's a familiar interface.
