My brother Mel Walters telephoned me this afternoon and said he was not surprised that I could not send mail because the Kmail in Knoppix 3.7 was not set up. And he may be right, because I tried to set it up and may have missed something that Mike the tech support fellow at telus may have missed too. My brother Mel is going to call me after supper to talk me through moving the iso images of the five libranet cd's to another partition, and to install libranet 3.0 and to configure Kmail, all over the telephone, as it tires him out a lot to travel to my house on transit. After he called and told me that the md4sum command checks the check sums of iso's I checked all the checksums of the 5 iso's that I burned to CD's. And the check sums all check - woo hoo! Thanks for all the suggestions. I will let you know how it goes with my session with my brother Mel Walters.
