Well Killer, I've used SuSE (didn't like it) and Fedora Core 3 (couldn't do anything on it) as well as Red Hat 8 and 9. I am currently running Ubuntu and love it. Especially with resources like http://ubuntuguide.org out there to help out, I think it's a great distro to begin with.
