Debian is not recognizing the newer hardware (sata hdd, on board nic, maybe video card, and i don't know what else) so server install is failing. Tossup is whether to go with ubuntu and remove all the extraneous packages or tough it out with debian maybe using Knoppix to boot and then ....(more new territory).
