Hello All,

I figured out how to configure my printer using a GUI.

I went to settings icon, then to print manager icon, and then to the add
printer class icon and followed the instructions. One important point
was that I had to select parallel port instead of USB port. But the
selection of USB port #1 only delayed my set up. It did not stop it.
When I went back to select the parallel port, I selected it and again
followed the instructions, printed a test page, and finished the
installation according to the instructions. I then printed an open
office document I created earlier. So the printer and open office are
working fine now.

I then typed out my daily agenda in the vim editor and printed it out.

The only things left to do are to configure my scanner and my sound card
and my video card.

Thanks for all the help!

Blessings,

Michael
