Hello Gustin,

I did what you suggested and did a chmod a+rx /dev/cdrom where cdrom is 
the device name for my DVD drive. After doing that I still get the same 
error message. I then put in an audio CD and the audio CD still works fine.

Thanks for the suggestion. It was worth a try anyway.
