Hello All, When I contacted staples about not having windows but want to try their camera to see whether it would work under linux, but was afraid to break the seal, they said, go ahead and try the camera under linux. If it does not work I can return it within 14 days for a full refund.
So I am going to take some digital pictures with the camera and try to download the pictures to my computer using my Kanotix Debian Linux which hopefully automatically detects the camera. If my computer under Kanotix Debian Linux does not automatically detect the camera I can take it back for a full refund. So I am going to take several pictures and try to download the pictures to my computer. If it works, I have a working camera. If it does not work, I will return the camera for a full refund. I will let you know how my trial goes. I will take several daylight pictures and a few flash pictures and will then try to download the pictures.
