I'm no expert, but I think you should be able to install it on an already configured box. The installer does check to make sure that none of its services are already running ie. http on port 80, etc. I had to disable to MTA, web server, and ftp server during the install. I want to setup a web server on the same network, and as far as I can tell, it only uses port 80 to redirect you to the admin interface which runs over https. I figure I can either disable Kolab's apache install from accepting connections on port 80, and setup another web server, or use virtual domains in Kolab's web server. Perhaps someone can comment on this setup.
