looking for comments on live webcasting My company is looking to implement something like
webcasting to employees. Not really familiar with this Requirements: Live video with audio (probably from high quality
usb camera) (semi-portable is best) In browser player client (IE) Archived video for later playback (web based access) Built in chat would be nice Video and audio quality adjustable For live steaming: Camera -> laptop (MS) -> server (MS or linux) ->
client 1 (MS) -> client 2 (MS) ->
client x (MS) Any suggestions on software or hardware to implement
something like this? Thanks Sig Some links I’m looking at: http://epresence.kmdi.utoronto.ca/
- this looks promising http://www.icecast.org/
- does not appear to support video http://developer.apple.com/opensource/server/streaming/index.html http://www.gnu.org/software/gnump3d/
