Thanks Hendrick. I was hoping to avoid reformatting the stick. But what makes this truly odd is that the stick works just fine on my laptop, which is running Kubuntu 6.06, But doesn't work on my desktop, which is running Kubuntu 6.06.
There is only one real difference between the two systems - the desktop is a native 64bit install. And the only other thing that was done differently was that Amorak wanted to treat the stick as a media device when I first plugged it in on the desktop. (I don't run amorak on the laptop.) When it comes to the 64bit issue, I don't see this being the root problem, afterall, my other USB devices work fine on the desktop - including my other USB stick. So, I'm still digging. Luckily it's not urgent...
