Not only is it possible, it has happened to me on gentoo... problem? I didn't do an "etc-update" after an "emerge --update world". udev was updated, but the config file wasn't, so udev never started up. X started for me, but I couldn't open up any xterms. -Mark _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
