-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 The MAC address is usually burned into the ROM of your NIC (or the NIC of appliance). DHCP servers generally give the same IP back to the same MAC. It can get a little more complicated than this, but generally changing the MAC address will result in you getting a different IP.
