-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Running fsck "corrected" a few problems. I have run fsck a few more times since then (the drive has seen heavy use as data has been copied off of it several times) and it has been clean every time since.
Anyway, I have control over FS again. The weird files are usually corrupted, but I have the ability to copy, delete, chmod/chown them again. Fortunately the actual data appears to be unaffected and was backed up regularly anyway.
