Hi, I liked the dual presentation format, but we need a time-keeper :)
As for getting deeper into IP networking, there are three levels that I typically see: 1) Get my machine + NAT working to surf the net (total consumer view point) 2) Add network services like printing, NAS/SAN, LDAP, streaming audio/video feeds and basic website admin etc 3) Advanced networking, HA networks, load balancers, traffic shaping, dynamic firewalls, IDS, yada yada yada I think presentations to (1) & (2) would be worthwhile for many members. Presentations to (3) would be interesting to some but I don't think we'd need a very big room for that one;) Cheers, J.J. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gustin Johnson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CLUG General" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 05, 2007 3:01 PM Subject: Re: [clug-talk] General Meeting format > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > bogi wrote: >> I did like the dual shorties presentations with similar or related >> subjects, a >> bit more time management would be useful, but nevertheless , i think many >> people liked the idea.
