SQL-Ledger / LedgerSMB (two different products, same base though)
- Probably not user friendly enough for you though.

I think there is a KFinance package out there.  I know I looked at one
and thought it was too simplistic for my needs, but might be worth
looking at.

Quasar (www.linuxcanada.com)
- I suspect this isn't as user friendly as you'd want it, though it does
have the added bonus of being a Calgary company.  I believe their focus
is more POS, but is flexible enough to accommodate other accounting needs.
