Sharing one's knowledge is always welcome. Sharing one's knowledge with ethusiasm is even better. Every time I see a post it does one of three things for me, educate me in something I did not know, reaffirm my current knowledge on a topic or enlighten me with a different point of view. I neither saw a fight nor a need for an apology.
