Replying to my own post again.  It dawn on me this morning that some might 
think this is going to turn into a money maker or a money grab.  Just to be 
clear, I think if LinuxFest were to be run as a for profit venture, it would 
fail, not to mention that it would violate the spirit of Linux and Open Source 
if the event was for profit.

I believe if we entertain this ownership idea, whoever is backing it should 
have the right to be recoup their expenses, but any funds over and above that 
should flow back to the not for profit such as CLUG or associated group that is 
participating.  Just thought I would make that clear before people get the 
notion that there is a big windfall to be made.

We certainly have had our fair share of bumps trying to get this thing going 
this year.  I would like to solicit the groups feelings prior to the exec

Does it matter to anyone who owns or directs LinuxFest as long as Clug is a 
participant and has a say?

Does anybody have deep enough pockets and want to own LinuxFest?

Personally, I just want to see it move along.
