Hi all, I can already feel the flame bait coming, but I am in a bind and I am hoping the community can help me out. I know there a few folks here that work in mixed environments and probably already know the answer to some of my questions.
It looks like my exchange box has become a spam relay (possibly?) and I am just not sure where to turn next so I am hoping some folks might know of some good forums/tutorials/etc that they could point me too. I have already confirmed that we are not autheticating when it comes to the SMTP Virtual Server and so if I understand correctly, that means pretty much anyone can use us as a relay. Is this correct? I am just not sure how to set this up properly. I have come across a few things, but nothing that is step-by-step clear. I am just not sure if I am missing something small or what? We were listed on some blacklists and at least one of them has complained to our ISP. I have asked to be removed from the lists and so far so good. But we are now having problems sending and recieveing mail from some folks. If anyone can point me in the right direction...even if it some good diagnostic tools that can point out the holes...that woudl be awsome. Please do not repond back to the list...please direct any resposnes to me directly.
