As Cameron mentioned in his message, I have been looking into streaming
audio servers. Everything I talked about is in my blog post on the
topic: http://grover.open2space.com/node/208.

The long and short of it is that I now have my own streaming audio
server which I can connect to from anywhere on the Internet to listen to
my own music. I've purposely not made this stream public (i.e. not
listed on the ShoutCast server listings) to hopefully save some
bandwidth and possibly some legal issues. The entire idea of streaming
your music collection is a huge grey area for me. So It's a personal
use thing... :)

As noted in my blog, I had some success with Shoutcast. An alternative
is Icecast. Icecast is more "open" in terms of licensing, but I haven't
yet had time to play with it. I'm also still working on the Live DJ
capabilities.

I'd be happy to answer any questions that I may. Though I don't really
count myself an expert here.. :)

Shawn
