LOL I am not sure what you are expecting to be optimized. Both the original eeePC and the newer gen of devices are powered by 32 bit x86 processors that run a standard version of Ubuntu just fine. I am writing this on an Acer One running a stock version of Xubuntu btw. The UI is being optimized for the screen size and there will likely be a custom kernel for the Intel Atom. They are also targeting this to hardware manufactures as it will have a different release cycle from the standard Ubuntus. Really, you will generally only see it pre-installed on devices. > I appreciate the insights and information Gustin. > > np -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFIoQkCwRXgH3rKGfMRApejAJ4n+K2KNaTBM4X3berKK6E0Bh/bBwCfZYrb WDFD13Wg6b+Upx0L4FIsM20= =DNL4 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
