I am running Kubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) on a Dell Latitude Laptop i686
(32 bit, I think). I need a good multi track video editor with chroma key capability. PiTiVi didn't even start (the icon was bouncing up and down by the curser, and then quit). LiVES didn't seem to let me add video to the timeline. I looked at the Ubuntu version of ZS4 (Zweistein) and all it had was some executable (not .deb) that tried to open in WINE. I tried to install Cinelerra as per online instructions (sudo apt-get install cinelerra), but all I got: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: cinelerra: Depends: libopenexr2c2a (>= 1.2.2) but it is not installable E: Broken packages Can anybody help me? -I am new on Clug-talk. Please advise me if I am breaking any etiquette. |
