The only card readers I've seen not work under Linux are the ones built into laptops. I haven't seen a USB card reader that didn't work with Linux. Any basic reader should do the trick. That said, I've seen many cameras that do not have a proper filesystem on the SD card, the only way to get the pictures is to use the USB cable. Hopefully this is not the case. If possible, take the SD card to the store, or to someone else's computer that has a card reader, and make sure you can get the files off of it that way first. You may also want to go to a store that carries Olympus cameras and ask if they have a replacement USB cable. It is a special cable (Type A -> Mini 12-pin,) but it is used by a wide range of Olympus cameras. -Mark C. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
