This is a total shot in the dark (i.e. a pure guess...)
Did you change the SMTP port? Telus was blocking outgoing traffic on
port 25 at one point. The correct port (which I don't recall offhand)
should be in their FAQs.
But as I said, that is a total guess and may not be related to your
issue at all.
