If it was installed manually the plugin usually resides in /var/lib/flashplugin-installer/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so or /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins or sometimes /usr/lib/mozilla/firefox/plugins. To find all existing instances of that plugin you could use find: sudo find / -iname \*libflashplayer.so Hth,
