Just thought I'd point out that tonight at BMO Centre at 5:30 is the CloudCamp conference, and that tomorrow night at Bow Valley is CUUG's meeting on "Internet at Sea" at 5:30 (Room N-438). As well, I believe there's something brewing at ProtoSpace (I'll let their members fill us in on that)
