python-clutter 1.0
Hi,
What are the dimensions into and out-of the screen (Z, I think)?
I gather that (x=0,y=0) is at the top-left of the window, but I can't
find any details about where z=0 lies. Is it on the plane of the screen
or further in?
In my experiments I can rectangle.set_depth(z++) up to a certain point,
just short of the stage width/height (I keep it square) before the
rectangle pops out of sight.
For e.g. in a stage of 16 by 16, the rectangle goes away at depth 13.
This suggests that the z=0 point is at least 12 pixels into the screen,
however I can't figure out how to calculate that magic number for
variable stage sizes.
I know there is a near (and far) clipping plane, but the
stage.get_perpective() always returns, by default no matter the stage
size, (60.0, 1.0, 0.10000000149011612, 100.0), so I am not sure how to
use that info to figure anything out.
I would like to know when my 'camera' (is this what the 'viewer' is in
the docs?) is very close to a given actor so that I can stop any zooming
before the actor pops out.
Thanks,
\d
