Unless you changed something, I suspect we still have that framerate
issue I reported last week, in which I speculated that damage events
were causing an immediate paint and for video at the display refresh
rate and vsync enabled it would effectively starve any other painting
that needed to be done.

Is the above speculation crackpot?  Perhaps regardless I should file a
bug?
