We do not get signed consents because we have been told they are leggaly not useful.
They are better than nothing but what you really need is documentation thaT resident
SPECIFIC R&B (risks and Benefits) have been discussed.
Giving a form listing postural hypotension and falling as a risk to a quadroplegic who
does not bear weight to be signed does not make much sense. I don't think there is
any shortcut around realy talking with the resident and family and documenting what
was explained.
