I am an mds nurse. I get 1 day off per week & 2
days everyother weekend. I also get pulled to the ward to fill in when we are
short, plus everyother weekend. i work for a facility with 164 beds. I
myself have 7o patients, not geriatric, but psychiatric. You think you got it
tough come walk in my shoes, I do it on 3-4 days per week. I think no
one cares. I spend more time @ work then I do at home. My wards are the
primary soarce of reimbursemnt for our facility, I have no choice, I give 110
% & they expect no less.
