State of Maine: WE have this situation. We did call DHS, after reviewing the regulations. We were told it would be fine as long as we documented why and care planned for it. We did do this and no problems with the survey. Good Luck!

We now have that situation and our call to the State for their thoughts was"I don't know, I'll have to check for you." So we all know how long that will take. In the meantime, our resident and family want the bed out of the room to make way for her recliner which she had slept on for years. Will you please cite the source so we can tell the State what the regs are? As usual, thanks for all the good info I get here.
