The manual on page 2-31 when discussing OMRAs states that "The last day in which therapy treatment was furnished is day zero."  So, even though the resident was scheduled to receive therapy on the 19th, they did not, so you would need to determine when the last day that the resident actually received therapy.  If  the last day that therapy was given was the 18th, then you begin counting with the 19th as day one, etc.  The therapy discontinue order is not the concern, it is the last day that therapy was provided.

Subject: OMRA ?

Hi
Just curious  I have a resident who was receiving PT x 2 wks d/c 11-19-03 will remain part A due to nrsg wound care of a stage four. My question is on 11-19-03 PT was unable to see the resident plus it was his LCD for  pt. therefore, zero minutes were obtain for pt , now  an omra  then is due is it from 11-19 even though zero minutes were obtain or do I start count 11-20-03 . Hope this is clear
    thanks alot
