This is correct that a blister is to be staged as a 2, but it would be coded in M1 and staged only if the cause of the blister meets the definition for coding in M1.

On section M on the MDS it self it states a closed blister is stage 2.If the infection is also in the foot you can mark under infection of the foot

I have question to the group. I am so confused on how to code this. Resident has cellulitis on her both lower extremities with blisters. How will i code this in M1 is it stage 2 then 0 to M2, right.
