Chemo is an exclusion no matter where, the others must be done at a hospital to be an exclusion.  Only the chemo agents that have the excluded codes are exclusions.

Rena or someone else out there who knows,

With the updates on consolidated billing and now knowing that radiation, etc. comes out of the bottom line for medicare a reimbursement if done in a free-standing facility, does this include chemotherapy as well?  I know there is a statement about “lymphatic and venous procedures.”  Does this include chemo or is chemo still an exclusion no matter where done?

Thanks!
