She is within her 30 days, so I'd put her back on Medicare. IVFs should qualify her for Extensive Services or fever with dehydration will put her in Special Care. You need to start over with a 5 day.

Resident admitted from hospital under Medicare with last covered day of 11/6, no further skilled need.  On 12/1 (today) had IV started for dehydration with no meds in the IV, fluids only.  Would she qualify for Medicare, under her previous benefit or does there have to be meds in the IV to qualify?  We are doing increased assessment due to dx.  Any input appreciated.
