Yesterday, I had a call from DHS regarding TB testing (it was a survey). One of the question they asked was if and when we screen our patients. As of now we don't screen our patient upon admission. We only do screening if patient is suspected or is having some signs and symptoms. Our screening tool is base on a number system, if the patient receive  a certain score, we transfer them to the medical floor (to a negative pressure room), and further evaluation  or testing is done. The guy was also talking about some kind of recommendation regarding TB screening that went out earlier this year form DHS. He also asked me, if  changes ware made on our screening tools  base on DHS recommendation. Does anybody in the group can give me more information, it would be greatly appreciated.
