The computer does not change what had been coded in Section G for eating. If IV fluids are coded it will automatically calculate and adjust for the additonal ADL points. The person completing Section G must enter the 3,2 score for eating with consideration of the IV fluids adminstered.
Either way it will yield 3 ADL points for eating. The instructions for coding Section G- eating has always included IV and enteral feedings.
